Coldwell at a Glance

After more than a decade of strong supply, Ontario has entered a period of emerging electricity system needs. To address this need, the Independent Electricity System Operator (IESO) is competitively securing 14,000 GWh of annual energy supply through multiple requests for proposals. Coldwell Wind Farm General Partnership, a partnership with Biigtigong Nishnaabeg First Nation and Boralex has bid a 200 MW wind project into the Independent Electricity System Operators (IESO) 2025 Long-Term 2 procurement. If awarded a contract, Coldwell will help address the electricity demand of the IESO and provide stability to the electricity grid.
