About the Gourgançon Wind Project
The Gourgançon wind project is located as an extension to the north of our already operational Mont de Bézard wind farm, which was repowered in 2023.
This extension project was initiated during the inauguration of the Mont de Bézard repowering and reflects the wishes of the municipality of Gourgançon. The study area for this new project was therefore defined in close collaboration with the municipality.
Following discussions with the municipality, each landowner and operator within the study area was consulted, allowing the various components of the impact assessment to begin, starting with on-site biodiversity measurements.
The project will include 4 wind turbines with a total installed capacity of approximately 17 MW. This will enable the production of 37 GWh, equivalent to the annual electricity consumption of 7,700 households. This carbon-free energy production will supply the entire population of the Sud Marnais Community of Municipalities, to which Gourgançon belongs.
