Our Approach to a Responsible Supply Chain
Procurement plays a highly strategic role in our operations. We need to purchase large components to build and operate our wind and solar farms, as well as our hydroelectric plants and storage sites. It is through close collaboration with our strategic suppliers that we can optimize the execution of our projects, while respecting deadlines.
Working with suppliers who share the same values as us is essential to the success of our projects and business objectives. Additionally, they play a role in realizing our CSR ambitions. This is why we adopt a collaborative approach with our suppliers, to ensure they share our commitments to ethics, health, safety, and the environment.
Key principles of our Sustainable Procurement Charter

Our Ethics and Sustainability Requirements
Human rights issues and risks are discussed at the highest levels of our company and are considered in strategic decisions, such as updating internal policies, developing new projects, and the working conditions of our employees.
We fully support the respect of human rights. We adhere to the Equator Principles and the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, and we strive to collaborate with stakeholders who also respect these principles. Therefore, we equip ourselves with tools to ensure their respect among our suppliers, including our responsible procurement charter, the signing of the Solar Industry Forced Labor Prevention Pledge, and the risk analysis of violations in our supply chain.
Foster discussion within our industry
We collaborate with industry stakeholders on issues related to corporate social responsibility, including responsible sourcing. Each year, we take advantage of major industry events in our various territories to participate in panels and forums, and to engage with our partners on new sustainable initiatives.
For example, in 2023, during the National Wind Energy Symposium in France, we discussed CSR in supply chains with our partners and exchanged ideas on initiatives such as the use of materials with a lower carbon footprint and the complete recycling of wind turbine blades. Additionally, we participated in a panel at the Great Conference on Sustainable Procurement and Innovation, organized by the Quebec Electrical Industry Association (AIEQ). The discussions focused on major CSR trends, including how suppliers can contribute to the efforts of major clients.

Empowering our supply chain
The expectations we have for our suppliers are defined in our responsible procurement charter. Based on the ISO 26000 standard, this charter is an integral part of tenders and contracts for the purchase of products exceeding 250,000 CAD/USD/EUR.
- In 2023, 98% of the volume of these purchases was made from suppliers who signed this charter or underwent an ESG analysis.
Are you a supplier of goods or goods and services concerned with amounts exceeding 250,000 CAD/USD/EUR? If not already done, we invite you to undergo an ESG analysis such as EcoVadis.
