The Mont de Bézard Wind Farm in Detail
Located between the Marne and Aube departments, in the municipalities of Gourgançon and Semoine, the Mont de Bézard wind farm hosted until 2022 six turbines with a unit capacity of 2 MW. Commissioned in 2007, the wind farm underwent a repowering project to replace the existing equipment with the same number of turbines, each with a unit capacity of 4.2 MW. The new configuration enables the production of electricity equivalent to the consumption of more than 20,000 households and helps avoid approximately 14,000 tonnes of CO₂ emissions.
