The project in detail

The project is located in Les Granges in the municipality of Castelsarrasin. It is a photovoltaic project with an estimated capacity of 10.6 MWp, representing an annual production of 13.43 GWh. This would supply approximately 6 000 people per year, or nearly 40% of the population of Castelsarrasin.

Boralex has launched an in-depth study of the site to assess the initial condition of the study area and analyze its sensitivities. This assessment will include several specific studies, such as a natural environment study, a landscape study, and a technical study.

The results of these studies will enable Boralex and the design offices to assess the potential effects of the project, whether on the project site, in the immediate vicinity, or further afield. These studies will enable the project to be scaled to achieve the best compromise, taking into account local sensitivities and renewable energy production.
