Project overview
After a devastating fire in 2004 in the Cruis forest, the commune of the same name launched a call for tenders in 2009 to rehabilitate the destroyed plots with the aim of developing a solar project. It was within this framework that Boralex was selected by the commune of Cruis and has since worked to develop a renewable energy production project to give the site a second life.
Commissioned in 2024, the Cruis solar park consists of 29,000 panels, providing green electricity to around 12,000 people annually.
