Boralex achieves Silver Parity Certification from Women in Governance!

Boralex firmly believes in a work environment where everyone can reach their full potential. That's why in 2024, we once again strengthened our efforts in equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) to contribute to a stimulating talent experience, rich career paths, and sustainable growth.

Women in Governance

How to confirm the strength of Boralex's EDI efforts?

To identify actions to prioritize and highlight our progress, Boralex undertook an EDI diagnosis with a recognized external partner: the Parity Certification from Women in Governance (WiG).

WiG's mission: to support women in their career advancement, leadership development, and ambitions to sit on boards of directors, as well as to help companies achieve EDI in their workplace.

After completing all the necessary steps in the certification process, Boralex was awarded with the Silver Parity Certified in recent days!

At Boralex, we firmly believe in the importance of integrating the principles of equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) into all our business practices.

Having Silver Parity Certification from Women in Governance is another step forward in our vision to promote EDI to drive sustainable growth, better manage risks, and broaden our horizons.

EDI will also help us stimulate creativity and strengthen cohesion within our team, thereby generating positive impacts both on the well-being of our employees and in achieving our business objectives.

Patrick Decostre, Chief Executive Officer

Having Silver Parity Certification from Women in Governance roots our vision of supporting women in their career advancement and growth ambitions at Boralex. We know that parity allows us to broaden our horizons, ideas, and perspectives. It contributes to the rise of our female talents, which is a driving force for our sustainable growth.

What does Silver Parity Certified mean

Newly certified Silver Parity by Women in Governance, Boralex affirms through this certification that it has:

  • Implemented best practices in terms of diversity and inclusion and joined a community of interest.
  • Established measures to monitor the impact of diversity and inclusion initiatives.
  • Communicated a clear commitment to the representation of diversity within the framework of parity.
  • Supported the creation of a female talent pool and increased the number of women employed in management roles.

The Certification Process

To obtain this certification, Boralex had to demonstrate that its policies and practices, strategic orientation, decision-making processes, and culture involve women equitably compared to men. It also had to prove its commitment to achieving and maintaining parity by setting clear objectives and building pools of female talent.

Obtaining this certification strongly supports Boralex's desire to promote parity in all aspects of its business decisions to strengthen its sustainable growth.
