Roncevaux wind site overview
The Roncevaux community wind farm is located on unorganized territory of Ruisseau-Ferguson in Avignon MRC, in Québec’s Gaspésie region. It is owned by the Régie intermunicipale de l’énergie Gaspésie-Iles-de-la-Madeleine (17%), by the Régie intermunicipale de l’énergie du Bas-Saint-Laurent (33%) and by Boralex (50%).
The farm operates 34 GE turbines and has a 25‑year power supply contract with Hydro-Québec, awarded after a call for tenders, in 2013, to deliver 450 MW of wind power.
