Nisthill wind farm project
at a glance
A wind farm development partnership between Orkney’s Nisthouse Farm, Ludenhill Farm and UK based wind farm developer Boralex (formerly Infinergy).
Scotland’s onshore wind capacity will need to more than double by 2030 under plans to help cut harmful emissions and support the energy sector’s net-zero transformation.
The Scottish Government’s Onshore Wind Policy Statement confirms its ambitions for 20 Gigawatts (GW) of onshore wind power to be installed by 2030.
