Site overview
The Le Plateau 2 community wind farm is located on unorganized territory of Ruisseau-Ferguson in Avignon MRC, in Québec’s Gaspésie region. It is owned by the Régie intermunicipale de l’énergie Gaspésie-Iles-de-la-Madeleine (40%) and by Boralex (60%).
The farm operates 9 Enercon E‑92 wind turbines and has a 20‑year power supply contract with Hydro-Québec, awarded after a call for tenders, in 2009, to deliver 500 MW of wind power.
