About the La Citadelle Wind Farm

Located in Saint-Agrève and Désaignes, the La Citadelle wind farm consists of 6 wind turbines with a total capacity of 13.8 MW. Commissioned in 2007, it generates an annual output equivalent to the electricity consumption of 14,100* residents.

This project contributes to reducing CO₂ emissions, with approximately 1,300* tonnes avoided each year, and plays a concrete role in advancing renewable energy development in France.

Funded projects near the Citadelle power plant:

  • Désaignes Festival Committee: Co-funding of the 30th edition of the Trail de la Voie Romaine.
  • Monastier Arts Center: Support for the organization of the 37th edition of the Monastier Festival.
  • Ardèche Trail - La Voie Romaine: Helped fund the 29th edition of the Trail de la Voie Romaine.
  • UDSP07 Cycling Challenge: Support for the cycling challenge organized by the fire department.
  • OMCD: Helped fund the Désaignes Medieval Festival.
  • Louis Jouvet Middle School: Support for the “Orchestra in School” project, which promotes collaboration between elementary and middle school students.
  • Team Cinna: Co-funding of the Monts d’Ardèche Trail.
