The Project in Detail
Auzelon is a wind farm project located in the municipalities of Saint-Angel and Saint-Victor in the Allier department of France.
It originated from an initiative launched in 2020 by the elected officials of both municipalities and was entrusted to Boralex following a call for expressions of interest. During the pre-feasibility phase, independent experts conducted studies on wind conditions, noise, shadow flicker, and landscape impact. The local environment, including fauna and flora, was also assessed. These studies, now completed, confirm the feasibility of a wind farm project in the study area.
The design phase was developed in consultation with the Steering Committee, which brings together elected officials from Saint-Angel and Saint-Victor along with Boralex experts. A monitoring committee of about fifteen people, mostly local residents, meets regularly to strengthen their knowledge of the energy transition and to communicate about the project.
