Boralex to Remain a Standalone Company Following Acquisition by Brookfield and La Caisse

On March 25, 2026, Boralex announced that it had entered into a definitive agreement to be acquired by Brookfield Asset Management, alongside La Caisse, and become a privately held company. Following the completion of the transaction, Boralex will remain a standalone company with its distinct leadership, employees, commitments and approach to project development and community engagement.

  • The transaction is not a merger with Brookfield Renewable, which is a separate operating platform, and Boralex's New York projects, and existing facilities, will continue to be developed and managed by Boralex.

Visit our Newsroom for more information about the agreement.
